Sehens_Wertes: Centennial@GrandCentral_NYC_meets 125yrs@FrankfurtI

Dear reader, @Grand Central Terminal a year long centennial celebration was just kicked off by the MTA with the main 42nd entrance to be renovated and the addition of a permanent cafe added to mark the happy occasion. What a change of time and thanks to people such as Jackie Kennedy Onassis who helped preserve the terminal that was opened in February 1913. The central station in Frankfurt dates back to August 1888, was a favorite mative of Max Beckmann while being in excile in the 1940s. Its facade is neo renaissance whereas later additions are neo classical.

In Max Beckmann's famous Main Station paintings there is a black cat sitting on a balcony, thats where it is. Kitty-corner to the station. Go check out the painting at Städel museum.
