Why We Love Hotels

Coco Chanel tat es und so auch der schreckliche Sid Vicious von den Sex Pistols in NYC, leben im Hotel. Auch meine Lieblingsschauspielerin, Greta Garbo brillierte in dem fabelhaften Film "Menschen im Hotel", der auf der Vorlage von Vicky Braun basierte. Nun kommt wieder ein Film nach meinem Geschmack ins Kino:
The Grand Budapst Hotel: schräg und abgefahren. DerTrailer scheint vielversprechend. Update: Einer der wunderbarsten, versponnensten und doch ernsten Filme, die ich seit langem eintauchen durfte. Mit einem Witz, wie ihn nur Wes Anderson schafft, der eine besonder Vorliebe für die deutsche Sprache zu haben scheint. Oder hat jemand schon einmal von der "Preußischen Grippe" gehört? Ralph Fiennes, *seufz*, tritt relativ bald auf und legt einen Auftritt als Concierge hin, der seines gleichen sucht. Und jede noch so kleine Nebenrolle ist hochkarätig besetzt. Ein Film, von dem man sich wünscht, dass er nicht endet.

Coco Chanel did it in Paris at "The Ritz", and so did the dreadful Sid Vicious in NYC - living at a hotel. My fave actress Greta Garbo in "Menschen im Hotel" That fabulous movie about people's encounters in hotels. I feel like there are magic places in a city, and hotels are certainly part of it. Its like a bubble within our every day life I suppose. So thats why I am very much looking forward to watching "The Grand Budapest Hotel" next week. At the end of the month me and some girl friends are getting a spa pamper treatment at the Lindner Hotel in Frankfurt and I will keep you posted on how that went.
